Gary S. Hawkins

     Gary S. Hawkins is a professional paranormal investigator who has been involved with "ghost hunting" since 1994. 

During those years he has also taken thousands of people on haunted

history tours of Alton, Illinois, while affiliated with Antoinette’s Haunted History Tours in Alton Illinois,

(Alton’s FIRST and BEST ghost tours).  Author of the book Ghosts: Investigating the other side of life and possesses a  unique ability. 

      In Early 1994, Gary Hawkins went on his first "official" paranormal investigation, that was when he discovered the unique

ability that he has, that ability was to be able to catch a spirit or ghost with his bare hands and keep it immobilized, They

stay immobile until he chooses to let them go.  "As long as I have my hands on a spirit, it can not move".  While the ghost is immobilized, others around

can actually touch and feel the ghost that he has caught. 

Since that time, he has "caught" countless ghosts and most of the time those around him are able to feel and sense them also. 

He and his ability are well known throughout this area of the country. 

When a psychic is involved in the investigation they can also communicate with the spirit Gary has caught,

obtaining information about the particular ghost that Gary has immobilized.

          As somewhat of a scientific explanation as to how Gary Hawkins is able to "catch" a spirit with his bare hands, "spirits are energy,

and  I am able use my sixth sense, specifically in the area of touch, to adjust my electrical energy  in such a way

that it acts like a magnet when I place my hand on them, and they can not move until I let go or change my energy again

so that they can relocate".  He is able to move the spirit any location he requires also. 

To this date, he has not encountered, or heard of anyone else who could do this.  As far as it is known,

Gary is the only one in the world who can "catch" a ghost in this manner.

He conducts classes and lectures on Paranormal Investigations and has also appeared on television, radio including a

documentary on ghosts produced by KHQA TV in Quincy, Illinois.
